Full Title: Sometimes I Feel Like I'm Not Always Here....

My Final for Landscape Painting. Part of my attempt to show that I'm a real artist not just someone who throws up crappy drawings from my sketchbook and the occasional CG. I'm a rather busy person and most of my time is spent in school working on school projects which I just don't have the time to upload here. If you are interested in seeing more of my charcoal figure sketches and rough paintings please let me know.

This is oil on massonite board. Mostly finished but not quite. The figure (myself) needs more definition. The origional print out I worked from had me almost completely washed out in low evening light but when I printed a nice copy of the photo at Wal-Mart it came out with more detail in the face area.

I loved the original shot of this. In the photo I am mostly washed out like this. To me it's almost as if I there but not there at the same time. Maybe I'm just passing through, captured in a fleeting moment in time. Maybe I'm an angel? I don't know. In a way it makes the photo mysterious and to me it de-emphasizes me and allows me to exist in harmony with the landscape.

Also the photo was of me in cosplay as Riku from Kingdom Hearts II. I do not consider this fan art since it is truly a picture of myself, not of Riku. I see my cosplay as an extension of self. I take time to choose characters that fit my personality so closely that I consider them to be a facet of myself.

Also, I am not a photographer, the painting wasn't lit properly so this isn't the best representation of the colors.
