Self- portrait. My final for head-painting class. Part of my attempt to show that I'm a real artist not just someone who throws up crappy drawings from my sketchbook and the occasional CG. I'm a rather busy person and most of my time is spent in school working on school projects which I just don't have the time to upload here. If you are interested in seeing more of my charcoal figure sketches and rough paintings please let me know.

This is oil on canvas. Probably about 25 hours of work and it's still not fully resolved. It's at least finished to a point where I feel comfortable going 'hey look what I did!' the left arm, the shoe, and right leg need work.

The original photo was of me in cosplay as Riku from Kingdom Hearts II. I do not consider this fan art since it is truly a picture of myself, not of Riku. I see my cosplay as an extension of self. I take time to choose characters that fit my personality so closely that I consider them to be a facet of myself.

Also, I am not a photographer, the painting wasn't lit properly so this isn't the best representation of the colors.

Enjoy anyway! Constructive criticism is welcome. I was quite happy that some of the most critical teachers in my school gave nothing but helpful comments in critique today. I was fully prepared to be ripped to shreds.
